A murderer Yan Zhenbang leads a group of ex-convicts and Li Zicheng, the son of a hotpot restaurant owner, to work together as they transform a hopeless hotpot restaurant into a heartwarming place that satisfies their diners’ desire for good food while healing themselves and finding their purpose in life.

On the other hand, Zhen Bang finally leaves the prison after seven years. He moves to the Halfway House to begin the Community Based Program. He returns home, but is shocked to find his mother lying motionlessly in a pool of blood.
