The six-part series outlines the journey to the first treble in the club's history in 2013 and in fact begins in the years before, when the team and the entire club steadily developed through ups and downs. Players, coaches and decision-makers from back then tell how they experienced everything that moved them and what it means to them, even with the distance of a whole decade, to be part of this history and of FC Bayern.

On 8 April 2009, FC Bayern are already 4-0 down against Barcelona at half-time. There's no sign of the euphoria that had been so massive following the appointment of new coach Jürgen Klinsmann. After some initial problems, the team have internalised coach Louis van Gaal's vision and by 2010 are once again able to compete with the best in Europe, culminating in the final against José Mourinho's Inter Milan. The following season, Bayern's engine starts misfiring again, causing disquiet in the club and the surrounding environment. But a new opportunity emerges for an almost forgotten star striker.
