A mother evolves after she and her daughter escape violence and take refuge on a vintage steamboat; the peaceful ambiance deteriorates when a coup attempt forces the mother to revisit her violent past in order to protect her child.

Years into the apocalypse, nature has consumed much of the world as we once knew it, and yet humans endeavor to survive. Naturalist Dr. Chauncey Everett has spent the last decade in voluntary isolation; however, when Amy, an extroverted survivor, knowingly crosses into no man's land.
